Significance

On the above days, there is collective meditation in the Ashram. People can visit Sri Aurobindo's room on all the above days and the Mother's room on every 21st February and 17th November. 28th February is celebrated as the foundation day of Auroville.

Sri Aurobindo came to Pondicherry on 4th April 1910. The Mother came to Pondicherry for the first time on 29th March 1914. On 1st January, every year, there is collective meditation in the morning at 6 a.m along with music specially composed for this occasion.

On 1st and 2nd December the Centre of Education celebrates its Anniversary days, through cultural and physical education programmes.
