The Aim
Our aim is to study and understand ‘health’ in all its dimensions with a new
and total awareness of the human being, so as to build a universal movement
towards the realisation of Integral Health.
Objectives
The principal objectives of the Institute are:
To create a centre with facilities for health awareness, research and training which can become a
radiating nucleus.
To promote harmonious living with a deeper
awareness in activities such as food, sleep, exercise as an ongoing
meditation and relaxation. The Institute
will strive to make people aware of a yogic psychology
and help the aspirant to understand its practical effectiveness in everyday
life.
To bring together and integrate
the different systems of health. In this sense the Institute seeks to adopt
an evolutionary approach and does not lend itself to any exclusive system.
It works towards discovering the essence of each system so that their
reconciling truths may be found even in seemingly contradictory approaches.
The Institute believes that a true synthesis of different systems will lay
the foundation for a rapid and surer progress towards a world where health
is spontaneous and harmony the natural law of being.
-
To evolve a total concept of health based upon the understanding of all
the dimensions of being - spiritual, mental, emotional and physical, and
their interactions in the individual and the collective.
-
To explore the truth that health is a natural state of equilibrium and
illness is an aberration which can be cured by moving towards an integral
harmony.
-
To empower the individual to find out the basic causes of disequilibrium
within oneself and to evolve methods of establishing a progressive harmony
in the being.
-
To create an awareness in the individual that he / she is an
indispensable link in the total healing process and has a very crucial role
in activating the ‘healing forces’ from within.
-
To undertake studies for developing new paradigms in health-research and
research methodologies.
-
To bring together dedicated people who are willing to venture into newer
dimensions of health and treatment with a holistic and spiritual approach to
man and medicine.
